I strive to create well-balanced sequences.  My classes have a focus on energizing and restoring, working toward increased strength and flexibility. I like to create heat through flow as well as the challenge of holding poses.   Additionally, I like to explore deeper stretches where we can connect with our breath more easefully and surrender into poses.

We try and try and sometimes make it...

We try and try and sometimes make it...

...and sometimes we fall.

...and sometimes we fall.

What it's all about.

I choose the name Casual Yogini to present myself in an accessible, easy to understand way. There are so many benefits from the practice of yoga. I strive to share what I know and my love of the practice in a plain, simple, straightforward way.
There is nothing dogmatic about my teaching, instead I try to guide and encourage students to feel and understand their own experience. I strive to be welcoming, encouraging and joyful both on and off the mat. I've been practicing and studying yoga for over 25 years and hope to continue doing so for as many more years as I can. I am so happy to share this practice with whomever is interested. I teach because I want to share the improved quality of life that comes from practicing yoga. I want to guide people into the realization that they can help themselves to feel better, regardless of where they are starting from.
